Lyrics
Singing Poetry based on Numbers 20:9
Moses struck the rock again and he cursed his generation,
Their collective lack of faith made him loose his concentration
It only takes a moment to forget all that you know, to think you are the reason that the water starts to flow. Its easy to loose focus, its easy to loose sight, its easy to loose 40 years, insisting that you’re right. Chorus: I’m singing poetry to the rock of my generation.
What flows from me may seem to be a human observation,
But if it reaches you and the ring is true, is it my creation?
Do you long for a yesteryear or an age that’s never been?
An age without corruption where everyone joined in, to make the picture perfect
And to raise up the ideal, that the love we share between us is the only thing that’s real.
It’s easy to loose focus, its easy to loose sight, its easy to loose 2,000 years, Each side insisting that they’re right. Chorus.
Bridge: but who are we and who are they, what is this body really?
So strong so frail, its just a veil when its lifted then we’ll see. 2x
Chorus. So strong so frail, its just a veil when its lifted then we’ll see. 2x
